This is a cute-feel-good movie. Nothing deep or meaningful, but enjoyable none the less. This could be my favorite Rachel McAdams film (at this time I am sure the ladies will argue that IT MUST BE "The Notebook") (Well to ME it's not). I liked her busy body flustered character. And who doesn't love Diane Keaton! Harrison Ford seems to have aged overnight after seeing him in this, but still love the guy and his grumpy demeanor. All characters are light and not too complex for questioning or confusion. Upbeat soundtrack full of "girly" anthems. Overall decent, but not amazing. You decide.
I couldn't WAIT to see this one when it came out but then I didn't get to see it till it was out on DVD and I was glad I waited cause it wasn't awesome. Entertaining (made it past the 30 minute rule) but not my favorite of Rachel. I think she is the cutest thing ever but I like seeing her in more serious roles.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen this movie but had to comment on rachel mcadams and Diane Keaton. One of my fave movies with both of them in it is The Family Stone. Totally a random movie but for some reason I love it!
